MY TOP FOUR FAVORITE AFFORDABLE FACIAL OILS

Beauty by Britanie wrote a feature on her top for affordable facial oils, 3 of which you can find here. This is what she had to say about those three amazing oils for the face.

    1. Acure Organics Argan Oil  – Coined as “liquid gold”, this is by far the most effective and affordable Argan Oil out there. It is 100% organic, rich in Vitamin E, Essential Fatty Acids and is lightweight and easily absorbed! This oil is not only great for the face, but I also love to use it on my cuticles, hands, and hair!
    1. Sibu Beauty Seabuckthorn Oil  – I don’t usually like to choose favorites but I have to say that this is definitely my favorite out of the bunch. In-fact, Seabuckthorn Oil (berry & seed) is now my every day staple. It keeps eczema at bay and reduces redness. Seabuckthorn Seed Oil has been long used as a topical treatment to aid relief of skin conditions like eczema, acne, rosacea, dermaitits, age spots, you name it! It is truly an incredibly healing oil that I can never be without. I have literally gone through five bottles of this oil because I use it day and night!
    2. Aura Cacia Jojoba Oil – Jojoba Oil is the first oil I recommend to anyone who is starting out in the world of facial oils. Why? because it is it is nearly identical in chemical structure to the natural oils in skin and hair, and therefor is easily absorbed without leaving a greasy residue. Here’s another interesting fact: Jojoba Oil is not actually an oil, but a wax  It also seems to be the the oil that responds best with all skin types from dry to sensitive to oily or acne-prone. It’s a staple-oil that I think everyone should have in their home!

YAHOO BEAUTY NAMES WELEDA AS ONE OF 13 BEST NATURAL BEAUTY BRANDS

While holistic and all-natural have become buzzwords in the beauty world, the Swiss-based brand Weleda was committed to those philosophies back in 1921. The company believes that nature offers everything that’s needed to create powerful beauty and wellness products. They promise that you won’t find one unpronounceable synthetic compound or one toxic chemical in their ingredient list, instead you’ll find flowers, herbs, fruit extracts, clays, roots, and minerals. The 100% certified natural and organic products comply with the stringent EU standards.

What You Should Try: The Weleda Wild Rose Spray Deodorant actually works to block sweat and neutralize odor (not always the case with natural versions). It also has the added bonus of an intoxicating rose scent that smells more like perfume than deodorant. The Baby Calendula Body Cream  is intensely moisturizing and doubles as a hand cream for adults. The entire baby line is a good pick for parents looking for natural lotions, diaper creams, oils, soaps, and shampoos.

NUMI ORGANIC TEA TEAMS UP WITH H2OPE

Oakland, CA (September 1, 2016) – Numi Organic Tea, a leading purveyor of premium organic, non-GMO, Fair Trade Certified teas, is honored to announce completion of Together for H2OPE: Madagascar, a Numi Foundation non-profit initiative bringing clean water to over 3,500 people across 12 villages in Madagascar—the farming community that supplies the key ingredient (turmeric root) for Numi’s Turmeric Teas and Turmeric Golden LatteTM mixes. “Ensuring the health, well-being and prosperity of our farming communities has always been core to Numi’s philosophy. With Together for H2OPE we are putting that ethos into action,” said Ahmed Rahim, Numi’s CEO and co-founder. The Numi Foundation raised over $90,000 from generous donors to build wells for the turmeric farming families living along the banks of the Rianila, a contaminated river that was this community’s only source for drinking water, until now. With these new wells right outside their homes, each family—and their children’s children—has access to clean water for the first time.

NUMI FOUNDATION Numi Foundation’s mission is to nurture and empower thriving communities. We envision a world where all basic human needs are met and people have the resources to fulfill their greatest potential. Globally, we provide our organic, fair trade farming communities with access to clean, safe drinking water. And in our backyard of Oakland, California we offer experiential gardening, arts and social studies curricula to low-income K-8 public schools. Numi Foundation is fiscally sponsored by Earth Island Institute, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Berkeley, CA. www.NumiFoundation.org.
